Juniors Perform The Beaux’ Stratagem

Trinity juniors performed The Beaux’ Stratagem, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Greenlawn Auditorium.

In this hilarious 18th-century comedy by George Farquhar, Jack Archer and Tom Aimwell are two penniless gentlemen who have been forced to leave London and roam the English countryside. Disguised as a wealthy master and his servant, the pair are hoping to find a rich heiress for one of them to marry. They set their caps on the lovely Dorinda and her sister-in-law Kate. However, their plans go awry and their chances of finding true love are jeopardized by a series of wild schemes involving a crooked innkeeper and his saucy daughter, a gang of highwaymen, and an attempted robbery.

Highlights of the play are shared below, and a recording is available to watch on YouTube here.
