Der Lernvergnügentag

Der Lernvergnügentag (or Fun Learning Day) is always held in the spring on an undisclosed date. This year is was held on Friday, March 28. Students were thrilled when faculty announced the surprise at Morning Prayer. They were given a special schedule for the day and were able to register for a total of five classes.

Der Lernvergnügentag is a chance for faculty and students to depart from their regular routine and explore interesting subjects that are off the beaten path. Faculty share their expertise on topics ranging from ballet, to nuclear physics, to candle making (and of course strategies for winning at Scrabble). Seniors also participate by preparing and teaching classes of their own. Der Lernvergnügentag is a fun break from the ordinary, but is also a celebration of the God-given gifts of curiosity, creativity, and the joy of learning for the sake of learning.
