Sixth-grade girls in Mrs. Mertz’s class performed a play called Poem Factory, yesterday. The play told the story of girls working in a cotton factory in 1908. The main characters were three sisters who were new to the factory and drew the attention (both good and bad) of the other girls with their poetry recitations. Parents came to watch the performance and the entire class did a fantastic job!
