While reading about the radical Jacobins of the French Revolution and their distinctive red caps in Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities, the tenth-grade boys decided to show their own patriotic fervor. Vive la révolution!
Our Legos and coding day camp for 4th-6th graders was a success! There were enough participants to fill three sessions. The campers learned a binary alphabet, and later in the session built “formulas” for their own Lego elephants to give them experience with writing directions—a skill they would need for coding.
As colder weather hits, we’re thankful for the time we were able to spend studying safely outside during this unusually warm and sunny semester!
