We are saddened to tell you that Mrs. Elinor Thompson passed away on Easter morning. Mrs. Thompson was a pillar of Trinity Schools, teaching at our Greenlawn campus since its inception in 1981 until her retirement in 2002. Although she is most fondly remembered for creating and executing the Trinity School art program, Mrs. Thompson also taught Pre-algebra, Protestant Doctrine, and Life Science. Throughout her twenty-one years of teaching Mrs. Thompson strove, in her own words, “to vitalize the dynamic creative sensitivities that I know exist in these students.” Indeed, any student who thought they had no artistic bone in their body quickly and happily learned under Mrs.Thompson's tutelage that they could create beautiful artwork. Let us celebrate together Mrs. Thompson's life and the fruit of her labors!
